The Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals Kingston, held its 5th anniversary meeting on July 15, 2020 under the theme Five and Fabulous. The meeting was organized around honouring charter members and Kiwanian mentors who were instrumental in starting the club. Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals, Kingston was chartered on June 3, 2015 with 23 charter members: Sheena Grant, Rushell Ferarah, Theodore Williams, Keisha Diego-Gray, Brian Hanson, Jerome Bethune, Camille Lennon, Althea Alexander, Dacia Virgo, Simone Scott, Kharie Blackwood, Petagay Sang, Noya Hastings, Kayode Smith, Rocquel Walker Brown, Dwayne Bailey, Salina Solomon, Sasha Kay Gilzean, Teneshia Prendergast, Patricia Valentine and seed members Sheron Gilzean, Pam Rodney White and Deborah Manning.
The ten (10) charter members who still remain with the club were specially recognized with tokens and a special poem entitled “Five” by DP Naketa West. Five (5) key Kiwanian mentors were also treated to gifts and special rendition of the song “Skyscraper” by Chair Shanique Sinclair. These mentors included DLGE Charles Brown, DLGE Pamela Rodney White, DLG Lloyd Distant Jnr, LGD Deborah Manning and DP Saundra Bailey. Special mention was also made of current LG Keith and DLG Eileen and DLGE Sharon who were Lieutenant Governors in years 2 and 3 of the club’s existence respectively.
Five exceptional charter members were honoured with citations and gifts of appreciation for their extraordinary work throughout the years including DP Dwayne Bailey, DP Kharie Blackwood, DS Wendy Blackwood, PT Salina Solomon and PVP Patricia Valentine. In addition, charter President DP Sasha-Kay Gilzean was specially recognized for her hard work in building the club and maintaining her strong support over the years of its existence.
The programme was emceed by Kiwanians Andre Williams and Keriece Harris who kept the online event entertaining and engaging. The over 90 attendees online were also treated to a beautiful video tribute, composed by the club’s Image committee, featuring charter members recounting their favourite YPK moment. The planning committee was led by Pres Dalea Bean and also included, DP Sasha Kay Gilzean, PD Jermaine Young, Dir Kris Michael Robinson, Dir Rakeisha Williams, Dir Shauna McLeod, Chair Romona Morgan, Chair Rushell Ferarah, Kiw Gabrielle McDowell, Chair Roxann Lewis and Kiw Danuel Williams.

Qin's father owned a watch link and clock repair shop in Chongqing, so he was born into watchmaking, link and this is where link he first began to learn his skills as a watchmaker. While he would go on to first pursue a career as a designer, he continued to explore watchmaking, completing his first watch, featuring a dragonfly automaton, in 2014.
