Meet the Distinguished President of the Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals, Kingston - a servant-leader whose quiet conviction and tireless commitment have helped steer the club to Distinguished status on its 10th Anniversary. 1. What does leadership mean to you?
Leadership, to me, is about service, influence, and creating opportunities for others to grow. It is not about holding a title but about inspiring people through action, integrity, and commitment. My journey with KYPK since 2019 has taught me that true leadership means putting the needs of others first, empowering team members, and working together to make a meaningful difference in our communities as we serve the children of the world.
2. Which leader inspires you?
The leader who inspires me most is Jesus Christ. His example of servant leadership, compassion, humility, and unwavering commitment to helping others continues to guide the way I lead. Through my experiences in KYPK, I have also been inspired by many Kiwanis leaders who have dedicated their time and talents to serving communities and developing future leaders.
3. How do you think your involvement in KYPK assists in making an impact?
My involvement in KYPK since 2019 has allowed me to make a positive impact by serving communities, mentoring young professionals, and being a part of projects that address real needs. The organization has provided me with opportunities to develop as a leader while helping others grow. Through community service initiatives, fellowship, and leadership development, I have been able to contribute to meaningful change and help strengthen the culture of service that KYPK represents. Serving as President and helping the club achieve Distinguished Status has further reinforced my belief that collective action and servant leadership can create lasting impact.
