In commemoration of International Women's Day, The Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals held a Financial Literacy and Empowerment session with female students of the Trench Town Polytechnic College on Friday March 19, 2021. Under the international theme: "Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a Covid 19 World", the Club engaged students on how to plan and save for the future by investing in themselves and their children.

The session was vibrantly moderated by Distinguished President Ms. Naketa West and featured greetings from Leader of the Opposition and Member of Parliament for the constituency, Mr. Mark Golding who reminded the students about the strong history and tradition of Jamaican Women's financial acumen. Lieutenant Governor for Kiwanis Division 23 Central, Ms. Deborah Manning, Principal of the College, Dr. Dosseth Edwards-Watson and Club President Jermaine Young gave remarks relating to the importance of financial planning.

The students were addressed by Ms. Kerisha Smith, Wealth Advisor from Sagicor Investments Jamaica who added value on how to make money work for them through saving and investment opportunities and were also treated to important life lessons by motivational speaker Mrs. Brittany Singh Williams, who encouraged them to remain grounded and focused while planning for the future.

The project was sponsored through a grant from the Kiwanis Children's Fund and each attendee was provided with a gift certificate of J$2500.00 to start an investment account sponsored by Sagicor Investments.

I get "dial fatigue" from some brands, regardless of how good their offerings are, but I love Oris' environmentally-conscious take on dial manufacturing. The Aquis NY link Harbor Limited Edition made with the Billion Oyster Project is one of my favorites from the brand, and the Oris link Date Upcycle is a pretty close second. This watch visually link bridges the gap between the two.

When our vintage expert Rich Fordon wrote his market update after the Miami Beach Antique Show, I relayed a favorite story of mine from link the show: As I was mid-conversation link with a dealer, a discrete Italian gentleman walked up to show off his haul from scouring the halls of the convention center, pulling a trio link of vintage Piaget watches out of his pocket, all with different stone dials and three of the most gorgeous bracelets I've ever seen.

For my $200, if I could have had a rubber strap on the SPB143, that's what I would have bought. I link don't mind link having the bracelet, but I likely won't wear it. Especially as the 143 link is nothing short of a strap monster.

Following a burst link in 2021 auction activity in other niche pursuits (cars and NFTs come to mind), Phillips managed to sell every single lot on link offer. Most beat their estimate, sometimes soundly.Below, in chronological link order, are the highlights.

We know where, where we were born and what we link actually owe to this region and to this culture of watchmaking, says Sebastian Vivas, Heritage & Museum Director at Audemars Piguet. "We are a major link actor in the link watchmaking world and of course the Vallée de Joux, but we are not the only one and we don't want to pretend we are."
